I noticed Zen, even after it’s clear MC and Yoosung have feelings for one another, keeps flirting with MC, which I found really strange. What first set me off was something that happened on Yoosung’s route. I also won’t talk about V and Ray because I’ve kept myself away from Another Story spoilers, so I don’t really know much about how the relationships with them are. I only finished two routes (Yoosung and Zen) and I’m on my way to try and get 707′s, but with that and all I saw about the reset theory here on Tumblr, I made this conclusion on my own. I say!…Īll of them remember! Yes, ALL OF THEM REMEMBER!!!!Īll of them remember you past routes, the romances, the bad endings, everything!!! INTO THE RESET THEORY!!! (*Spoilers*) The classic reset theory says!…Īt the end of a route, all of the characters memories are reset to the beginning of the game… except one (usually Seven). As an aspiring Game Developer, I loved it, a bit cliché but it’s a dating game so… expected, and surprisingly it can get… dark… REALLY DARK!! Seriously, try the game, it’s worth it. I’m only on my “third” route, but It’s a very nice game. If you get to the party on day 11, the normal/good ending is based on the number of guests you can invite to the party (you have to email the guests over the 11 days.) From there, your choices pick you ending. Up until day 4, you talk to the characters and your responses will help the game pick who you’ll date from day 5 onwards. But, their party coordinator passed away 2 years prior and, after you “break into” her apartment, you become the new party coordinator.

#SORRY HALSEY MYSTIC MESSENGERS INSTALL#
The story begins when you install an app and talk to a stranger that leads you to an apartment, from which, and through the app, you meet the RFA, a secretive charity organization that threw charity parties. The chatrooms come in using IRL time, and each playthrough, at most, lasts 11 (real) days.
#SORRY HALSEY MYSTIC MESSENGERS PLUS#
There are 7 romanceable characters (5 when the game was released, check the picture above), each with 7 endings, plus a few extra “DLCs”. It has the structure of a messaging app, where you speak with the characters in chatrooms(plus calls and PM’s), through which the story develops. I thank for convincing me to do this (I didn’t need much convincing, really) (Skip to the next title to read my hypothesis)įor those who don’t know, Mystic Messenger is a mobile (Korean) dating game available for iOS and Android.

Fellow Mystic Messenger lovers, today I come forward from the shadows to present to you my take on the Reset Theory (which I only found out this week because only now did I dive into the Tumblr fandom, hi!)īecause most of my followers might not know what Mystic Messenger is, I shall make a small presentation before diving into the theory (so I can try to bring more people into this awesome game ) )
